Bug file names in unicode [Resolved in latest versions]
Article It seems like your product is completely uncapable of syncronizing files with most unicode characters. Eg greek characters. In a total i have found more than 800 characters not supported.

Sync was from source local NTFS (Win XP SP2) to dest SMB (Win 2003 server)

Try naming a file eg Σigma.txt (starting with a sigma sign)

Q: SynExp will address it as Sigma.txt, not being able to open it.

This error has been around for more than a year now.

Of 2000 files i tried to sync, 400 produced an error.

I like the international profiling of the home page. Unfortunately the product does not work in most of the specified countries, as they all use unicoded file names.

By the way, your forums also have an unicode bug. When unicode characters are entered in the edit box and then redisplayed, eg when selecting prewiew, they are not encoded back, producing an almost unreadable text.

Ans: It shouldn't be sound that useless, at least we are working fine on thousands of files using unicode Chinese characters.

We need to get your confirmation for further comment if you are having the error using the LATEST SyncEXP (SyncEXP from version 1.88, SyncEXPnet from version 2.1).

Regarding the forum's capability on handing unicode, we also find the same problem on Chinese characters. As the forum is engineered by phpBB we rely on their enhancement or else we switch to other bbs scripts. In the mean time, we will prefer to resolve your sync issure first.
