 Can't sync
Article I'm a newbie. I have 3 different servers that I'd like to sync to. One is running windows 2003 the other ones xp pro. The first one seems to sync just fine, I created a share folder with total control, then I introduced root as username and its password, and it syncs just fine. Now with the other two, I leave the username and password blank, and it says it can't create the folders/files I'm trying to create. If I typed in an username, I get a "not valid username, pass or file" message.

any ideas?

1. If your "share" folder is password protected, make sure the task has the pass. Usually Windows 2003 server requests you to assign one on every shared folder.

2. If your "share" folder is open to everyone on the same network, make sure your "Guest" has the read/write permission enabled.

You can easily find out that it may be your permission setting blocking you, not SyncEXP:

1. Close the SyncEXP.
2. Logout your XP and login again as a Guest.
3. Access your "shared folder" on the other XP and see if you can read/write freely.
